“Any man who has had the job I’ve had and didn’t have a sense of humor wouldn’t still be here.” — Harry Truman
(One of our very few man of the people Presidents! Talk about having “greatness thrust upon them”! He was Vice President for less than 3 months before he had to take over, following FDR’s death. And, less than 4 months later he had to make the decision of using the atomic bomb, to bring about a swifter end to the war with Japan. And he had to deal with Stalin and Churchill for partitioning Europe, following Hitler’s defeat. And, deal with Communist China and Korea, and a general who though he knew best! That’s not all, but that’s quite a bit, for a former haberdasher from Independence, MO. The man was also known for a lot of great quotes. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
