Answer: HEADQUARTERS
(Ohh! Maybe today’s answer coulda/shoulda been hyphenated! I suppose that might have thrown me, for a second or two, unlike yesterday’s that threw me for a minute or two. Decent pun though. No new clue words, although all the jumbles appear to be new. None of them threw me though.
The answer letter layout was a respectable 12-letter jumble. Definitely nothing obvious about it.
Great historical cartoon! It looks like Jeff has shown us the sculptor/designer of that quarter, John Flanagan. Not sure about the other two gentlemen. One could be Ogden L. Mills, and the other could be Andrew Mellon, I suppose. Both were Secretaries of the Treasury, under Herbert Hoover. I like the stamping machines in the background, and the eagle figurine on the desk. Lots of fun. And, easier for me than yesterday’s. Have you noticed that a lot of younger checkout clerks seem to be annoyed when you try to pay with exact change? It’s like the extra five seconds it takes to fish the coins out of my pocket has ruined their entire day! Too bad for them! LOL! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
