(All of us could do with being a little more introspective.  This quote is a lyric, and comes from the song “Exodus”, by Bob Marley and the Wailers, from way back in 1977.  Bob died nearly four years later, at the tender age of 36, from a rare form of malignant melanoma, which had spread to his brain and lungs.  But his music lives on.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Cryptoquote Solved – 05/24/23

(She was a tough woman.  She kinda had the forerunner of the David Koresh – Branch Davidian fiasco – in Waco, TX, with Operation Blue Star, in the Punjab region, in June of 1984.  But it was even deadlier, resulting in disputed casualties of some hundreds, to some thousands of Sikhs.  As a result she was assassinated by two of her Sikh bodyguards a few months later.  It’s hard to believe, but this seems to be the first of her quotes used for a Cryptoquote.  So, we welcome Indira Gandhi – posthumously – to the Cryptoquote Club today.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

(It might not be readily apparent, but Bob Dylan definitely has a good sense of humor!  He has certainly gone through a number of changes over the last 60 + years.  From name changes, to religion changes, and to numerous genre changes, etc..  He’s probably the premier poet/songwriter of my generation.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

(Phil is the creative genius, and executive producer, behind “Everybody Loves Raymond”, one of the last sitcoms I watched religiously.  He also was a writer and producer on “Coach”.  More recently he’s been doing it all on some food and travel shows.  His Wikipedia page says that he was born in Queens, but grew up in New City, NY, just a few towns from me!  Good quote, and his first to be used at the Cryptoquote.  So, we welcome Phil Rosenthal to the Cryptoquote Club today!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

(Is there anyone out there – who is a fan of classic movies – who doesn’t like Humphrey Bogart???  He starred in some of the greatest movies of all time!  Not a handsome, hunky kind of guy, but he played romantic roles as well as he did his tough guy roles.  He was THE original leader of the Hollywood Rat Pack.  Those guys LOVED their bourbon!  It’s a shame though that he was such a heavy drinker and smoker, as he died of esophageal cancer shortly after his 57th birthday.  Not exactly young, but far from old.  He died about five months before I was even born, but I have always been a big fan of the man.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
