Schiller in Central Park – Dianne L. Durante, Writing Addict + Adept

Man is an imitative creature, and whoever is foremost leads the herd.”   —   Friedrich Schiller

(The brilliant German playwright of the latter 18th – to early 19th – Century.  A very forward looking fellow, during the last third of his all too short life he was best buds with Goethe.  He believed that “art, rather than religion, plays a central role in the morel education of an individual.”  He was a Rock star in his day!  Unfortunately, he died at the age of 45, from tuberculosis.  His bust was the first sculpture installed in New York City’s Central Park, along the Poets Walk, in 1859.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

  1. The apparently continuing theme of IMITATORS, from yesterday’s cryp, made today’s fourth word, IMITATIVE, a little easier to suss out!
