“There ain’t no way to find out why a snorer can’t hear himself snore.” — Mark Twain
(And again, we saw this exact quote back in April of this year! I don’t know what is going on over at Cryptoquote world, but I wish they would only give us really old re-runs, and not these recent ones. It wasn’t even a difficult one. We don’t even have anyone in particular to complain to. It could be the property of Word-Game-World.com, so I’m going to provide their Contact Us url below. Feel free to use it to log a complaint. I think my earlier estimation was incorrect, folks. I am deleting the link. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

I just sent her a message, UR. Don’t know if it will do any good, but we’re trying! And, thanks for the link.
Sorry to hear you had another repeat on the cryptoquote Unc. I did use the link to leave them a comment. Here is the Celebrity Cypher from the paper I read. Hopefully you haven’t seen it before and I will not give you the hint they putin the paper. Here goes….. “W CFLO OH B JFYHJE MOHJF,OZFX MBWE OZFX MKFYWBNWRFE WL ZBJE-OH-DWLE JFYHJEM.LHOZWLV CBM BNKZBPFOWRFE!” -AWOYZ ZFEPFJV Have a good day Unc and always enjoy reading the comments on the cryptoquote and jumblei
Thanks, Randy. I’ll try to give it a look when I have a little more time. I’m already a little behind the eight ball today. — YUR
Thanks, hal. I wonder if they will respond? — YUR

I received an email from an ann fisher replying to my message I sent to her via your link. She wants to know where you are getting the cryptoqotes from…. a paid newspaper, her site or somewhere else. She stated she has not give permission to a paid publication to use her material free so she may have to investigate this.
I received a similar message from her, Randy. I will reply to her soon. I think I made a mistake when I found her site, and posted her Contact Me link in a comment reply. I don’t think she’s involved with the Cryptoquote that I am basing my spoilers on, which I get from my newspaper. She may be responsible for the CryptoQuips that you have occasionally sent me via comments! I’ll delete the link, and when I reply to her I’ll let her know that I do not use her material. If she tells me that she is responsible for both, then I’ll have to do some more thinking.

What a confusing start to the weekend. The celebrity cipher I occasionally send you via comment is from the Newspaper Enterprise Association which I get in my daily paper so I don’t think that is it either. She did reply you have the wrong person entirely and to retract the link which you did. I really enjoy reading the quotes although I am terrible at decoding them. The most recent one was from Pamela Anderson stating, and I am paraphrasing She doesn’t feel she feels like chasing her youth;instead she wants to grow older and enjoy all the seasons of life. Have an awesome weekend and have a good time at the wedding reception.
She didn’t say to me what she said to you, Randy. It was actually a little threatening, but I think it’s mainly because she doesn’t understand what we’re doing here. She also mentioned something about Ads on my blog? Are you guys seeing Ads, because I’m not seeing them. I think my erroneous posting of the link to her site – which I have deleted – is really her main issue. On her site she kinda jumps around between Cryptoquote – which triggered my thinking she was the one – and Cryptoquip and Cryptogram. Cryptogram is the most generic term, but the other two are much more specific, in my mind. I’m not too concerned.
Thanks for the well wishes, Randy! — YUR

Like you, I don’t see any ADS on your page! She sounds like a real piece o work. Not sure how to respond. In my view, reasonable discussion of something she posted is “fair use.”
That is the exact same message she sent to the blog, hal! I think she just doesn’t understand what I’m doing here. I’ll be gentle with her. LOL! — YUR
Welcome to Uncle Rave’s Wordy Weblog, Ms. Fisher!
Sincere apologies for posting the link to your website. My readers and I have been trying to locate the responsible party for the “Cryptoquote” that appears in many newspapers around the country, as there is no attribution like there is with the “Jumble” (Tribune Content Agency, LLC). We have all been very concerned about the number of repeat/rerun (encrypted) quotes that they have been running lately, and were hoping that I had finally found the source. I performed some kind of Google search that day – I don’t remember my exact criteria – but it definitely referenced the “Cryptoquote”, which I always believed to be a copyrighted term, similar to the “Cryptoquip”, which is NOT the same thing. Your site came up, and I saw you using the term “Cryptoquote”, and thought I had finally found the “creator”! But, rest assured that the link to your site has been removed!
My blog tries to accomplish a number of things, but the two mainstays are my daily “Spoilers” to the daily “Jumble” and “Cryptoquote” that appear in my, and many other, newspapers, seven days a week. This started way back in 2008, and the “spoilers” are the solutions to that day’s puzzles. I saw that back then, and to this day, that people like to confirm that they got the correct answer to these puzzles, without having to wait for the next day’s newspaper! There are now numerous imitator sites on the web, but Unclerave is the original.
I have never used any content from your site. My inspiration is only the aforementioned puzzles in the newspapers. All my readers understand that I’m not attempting to act as though I created these puzzles, just that I have answered them. I perform some critique of the puzzles, and attempt to create relevant dialog with my readers. My blog does not utilize advertisements, so there are no “commercial purposes”.
But, we always welcome new readers! Feel free to look around. Many of my readers appreciate what they have learned here. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.
Warm Regards,
YUR (Your Uncle Rave)
Not seeing any ads either yur.
Thanks, Randy. I hope she gets my response. She hasn’t responded yet. — YUR
