The art of prophecy is very difficult, especially with respect to the future.”   —   Mark Twain

Happy Birthday to H.E.R.! (Not really my style, but at least this song is lyrical.)

A man cannot be comfortable without his own approval.”   —   Mark Twain

(And, how hard could that be to come by?  We are the more slovenly of the sexes.  Aren’t we, guys?  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

There ain’t no way to find out why a snorer can’t hear himself snore.”   —   Mark Twain

(And again, we saw this exact quote back in April of this year!  I don’t know what is going on over at Cryptoquote world, but I wish they would only give us really old re-runs, and not these recent ones.  It wasn’t even a difficult one.  We don’t even have anyone in particular to complain to.  It could be the property of Word-Game-World.com, so I’m going to provide their Contact Us url below.  Feel free to use it to log a complaint.  I think my earlier estimation was incorrect, folks.  I am deleting the link.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

How Mark Twain Became a Free Trader - The Globalist

Truth is stranger than fiction, but it is because fiction is obliged to stick to the possibilities; truth isn’t.”   —   Mark Twain

(I don’t think that anyone could have written the story of the 2016 U.S. Presidential election, or the past 3 and 3/4 years.  Not even Dean Koontz, or Clive Barker!  It’s been the nightmare that I can’t seem to wake up from.  If all good things must come to an end then I guess that this too shall pass.  Don’t give up hope, folks!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who can’t read them.”   —   Mark Twain

(Whenever my wife sees just about any book, she says:  Ehh, I’ll wait for the movie!  Let me tell you though, reading at a sub-vocal level is only a few steps above illiteracy.  The affliction has really held me back.  I would love to read more books, but they just take me forever to get through.  Be well and do goof, friends.)   —   YUR

Sleep problems including snoring and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA)

There ain’t no way to find out why a snorer can’t hear himself snore.”   —   Mark Twain

(Very funny.  Most snorers are even in a kind of denial, because they don’t hear themselves snore.  I used to snore, when I was heavier.  And, for years I didn’t quite realize I was snoring, but I would frequently jump out of bed, thinking that a stranger was in the room!  It took me quite a while to figure out that it was just one of my louder outbursts.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Habit is habit and not to be flung out of the windows but coaxed downstairs a step at a time.”   —   Mark Twain

(Is this a little out of context, or do I just not get it?  It was a fun solve though.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

When some men discharge an obligation, you can hear the report for miles around.”   —   Mark Twain

(Oh boy!  Good ol’ Samuel would not be a fan of many of today’s athletes!  Some guys celebrate the smallest gain/stop/block/point, etc., etc. as though they’ve just won the championship.  Dude, or dudette, you just did your friggin’ job.  Acting like a clown is just disrespectful to your opponent, and makes you look like an ass.  Show some class.  Be a good sport.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
