Answer:  COHOPERATION

(With a pun this bad it almost qualifies as an April Fools joke!  All of today’s clue words were old friends.  Five of the jumbles came up as new, with “txoper”  having been used before.  I thought “tnamed” was a great jumble, and I had to back into “sailor”, so “sorlia” got me.

Splendid answer letter layout.  A great jumble that did not give anything away.  I would be surprised if some of you struggled to see the answer.

Very fun cartoon.  I did not realize that the Easter Bunny had sideburns.  I liked how the chart reinforced the jumping gag.  Lots of fun.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

He has one of those terrible weak natures that are not susceptible to influence.”   —   Oscar Wilde

(Always the prankster and jokester!  We could use more of his irreverent, wiseguy wit!  Did not receive the Living section in Sunday’s paper!  Printed out the puzzles from their online version Sunday night.  Thanks for your patience.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

It is the function of art to renew our perception.  What we are familiar with we cease to see.”   —   Anais Nin

(I think this quote came up while they were looking for quotes that welcome the Spring.  They did a Google search on Quotes with Renew!  It didn’t quite fit the first few days of Spring, but they liked it, and hung onto it.  That’s my story, and I’m sticking with it.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Answer:  IRONED OUT

(Not the most challenging of Jumbles, but it was alright.  All of the clue words were tried and true.  And, only three of the jumbles came up as new.  Mr. Hoyt has used “tiodt” before.  I slipped on “boxing” and started writing INBOX, but that left me with an open square.  I saw it on the second look.

The answer letter layout may have been the best jumble of the day.  A nicely cryptic jumble.  By itself, it gave nothing away.

The cartoon was the big give away.  Clearly he’s ironing, on an ironing board, holding a steam iron.  I like permanent press shirts, because if you get them while the dryer is still running, you can just hang them up, without having to iron them!  Of course they always look better if you do iron them, but they’re more than passable without.  Too bad about Michigan, Jeff and others.  Villanova was just too tough, I guess.  Here’s a little consolation blue and gold for you.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
