Clue/Question: The preparation put into stabbing Dracula in his heart was – – –

Answer: PAINSTAKING
(Originally: paynes taking, for what it’s worth. I’m a little surprised the answer wasn’t both hyphenated and with quotation marks around STAKING. But, I think people got the picture never-the-less. Tried and true clue words today, with three of the jumbles coming up as new. Apparently, David H. has used “prilte” before.
The answer letter layout was wonderful. It disguised the answer very nicely. A super jumble, in its own right.
The cartoon made the Jumble though. Jeff K. didn’t miss a trick with this one. The crusty brave vampire hunter, aided by an Igor looking dude. All the accoutrements of taking down ol’ Drac, like cross-bows and daggers, silver bullets and garlic, and of course, the wooden stake, coated with what? Silver also??? And, out the window we see a bat hanging upside down, with Drac’s castle, high upon the hill, in the shimmering moonlight. Definitely, a top ten effort on Jeff’s part. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
