Clue/Question: The story about the candy factory was – – –
Answer: SHORT AND SWEET
(A very tasty Tuesday pun! And, it certainly was not like taking candy from a baby! You had to do a little work to get this one. At least I did.
All of the clue words were Jumble work horses. But, all of their jumbles appear to be new. It took a few looks for me to figure out “pretu”. The answer letter layout was a 13-letter master jumble. “AND” kind of spelled out in order, but the individual letters were separated by some letters. The likelihood of “AND” being the middle word helped me out some, as my idiom radar was a little off this morning. It took me a few looks to figure that ERTHESTWSO was the SHORT and SWEET of it.
The cartoon has lots to like. The semi-Wonka-esque tour guide, the little kids eating gummy worms and candy canes, Dad with, no doubt, a piece of chocolate, and Ethel and Lucy wo-manning the increasingly faster assembly line! Dad seems a little disappointed, maybe even a little miffed, that the tour wasn’t longer. The Willy Wonka aspect might be a bit of a stretch on my part, but it’s one of my daughter’s all-time favorite movies! She says the lines of the characters, right on cue, in a number of scenes. I think she fancies herself as a female version of Charlie. I need to take a trip out to Hershey, PA one of these days! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
