Visual Description: A Viking hybrid boat.
BRONI = ROBIN, RHAWF = WHARF, TPOYER = POETRY, GLUEED = DELUGE — Giving us: RIWRPOTDE
Clue/Question: The Vikings were just about home after a long – – –
Answer: “ROWED“ TRIP
(Now, THAT is one stinky pun! But, I liked it! I didn’t see it right away though. At first I thought the first word might be POWER, but that left me with IRTD, and POWER DIRT didn’t make a whole lot of sense. But, the IRTD showed me the way to TRIP. So, now the quotation marks made more sense, and I followed the “ROWED”.
All of the clue words are old favorites, while three of the jumbles appear to be new. We’ve definitely seen “glueed” in the past. It took me a few looks before I could come up with the simple “robin”. And, as always, I didn’t immediately see “poetry”. But, I got it much faster than in the past! David’s answer letter layout was a marvelously cryptic jumble!
The cartoon smacks of “Hagar the Horrible”, with an Olga replacing Helga. But, it didn’t look like Jeff was going for a full send up to the comic strip. He kept it just generic enough. I think Jeff really wanted the Vikings to be in the Super Bowl! The photo shows the Vikings new Offensive Coordinator. Lots of fun, this Jumble, and fairly challenging. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

I needed some extra time for the final answer too. I got stuck on ROWER and then RIDE–didn’t see TRIP for a couple minutes and then found ROWED. Good pun and good puzzle guys!
I noticed there was no sinking sailboat. 😀

The solution was a toughie for me! Well done, guyz! UR, ‘wouldn’t be prudent’- too funny! Did you say that in your best Dana Carvey voice as you were typing?? =)
You know it, Jenn! — YUR
