“It has always been desirable to tell the truth, but seldom if ever necessary.” —A. J. Balfour
(And, if it’s not necessary, then why bother! Right, Art? Backroom deals usually benefit the few, at the expense of the many. I guess it’s not surprising that I couldn’t find any quotes on justice, attributed to Mr. Balfour. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
Clue/Question: With seats in the front row on the 50-yard line, they had a great – – –
Pre-Answer: Three Words (5-letters) (2-letters) (6-letters)
Answer: FIELD OF VISION
(A great stinky pun, and very appropriate! Today is Super Bowl LII, for those of you who happen to live under a rock. All of today’s clue words are All-Pro clue words. No rookies. Two of the jumbles gave me fits! I ended up backing into the simple “violet”. No, really! And, I tried to make the word endows into “indows”. That messed me up, for a minute or two also. Luckily, the answer was easy enough, especially with all the “I”s, “O”s and “F”s. And the “V”. But, the answer letter layout was excellent.
It looks like Jeff put this together a couple of weeks ago. He figured it was going to be the Vikings vs. the Patriots. Well, he got it half right. But, the Eagles demolished the Vikings, in the NFC Championship game, and made it to the Big Show. The Pats pulled off yet another miracle comeback, to defeat the Jaguars. Do the Pats have one more rabbit to pull out of their helmet??? We’ll see in a few hours, folks. No predictions, but my household will be sporting green today. “Fly, Eagles, Fly!” Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
