Jumble Spoiler – 02/22/18

Clue/Question:  The company couldn’t make a profit selling origami, so the – – –

Answer:  BUSINESS FOLDED

(Aaw!  This is a sad, stinky pun.  I can see that these ladies put a lot into their Origami!  I think much of the West views Origami as more of a novelty, than an artform.  I believe that “artform” will soon be recognized as a legitimate compound word.  Sure, some Origami is pretty basic stuff, but others are very intricate, and most definitely art.

All of today’s clue words are tried and true.  While only two of the jumbles appear to be new.  We’ve definitely seen “semys” and “sudeo” before.  And, “sudeo” always makes me think of Phil Collins!  The 14-letter answer letter layout was very impressive, and definitely not obvious.  It’s just that you knew the word FOLDED had to be part of the answer, and from there it was a very short hop to BUSINESS.

The cartoon is great for its variety of Origami.  The hanging bird and dragon.  The little dog, T-Rex, and starfish on the tray.  The ladies hats and brooches.  And, the standard paper airplane on the counter was a whimsical touch.  Nice job, guys.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
