Jumble Spoiler – 02/13/18

Clue/Question:  The couple once happily sailed together, but, over time, they – – –

Answer:  DRIFTED APART

(They’d become like two ships passing in the night.  Him, sailing to the marina bar and grill, to drown his sorrows.  And her, sailing off to meet her “personal trainer”.  “Did she get tired or did she just get lazy?  She’s so far gone she feels just like a fool.”  It’s a sad, sad story, folks.

All the clue words were tried and true.  Unlike our formerly happy couple.  Three of the jumbles came up as new, with “tavcie” having been used before.  Of course it had been used before.  That’s why I had to back into “active”. . . again!  Cavite just doesn’t cut it!  The answer letter layout, even without the “A”, “T” and “I”, gave me just enough to figure out the answer.  The cartoon did a nice job of showing the forlorn couple.  I wonder which one will be the first to try to kill the other, for the insurance money?  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
