Clue/Question: Not everyone believes that marriage is for them, but those who do – – –
Answer: ESPOUSE IT
(A word that isn’t the most common of words! But, it did make for a good pun-swer. And, in the next paragraph I’ll tell you why I DIDN’T get the final answer!
No new clue words this day. Two of the jumbles appear to be new, but we’ve seen both “tuyho” and “sidya” in the past. I got all four clue words with absolutely no problem. But then what did your wisenheimer uncle do??? He writes out: UTISEODES What could you do with THAT??? I’ll tell you what: NOTHING! I even let my daughter look at it, and then my visiting step-son look at it. They both assumed that I had written out the appropriate answer letters. I guess it was the distraction of having a house guest, who I hadn’t seen in well over a year, that both contributed to my initial faux pas, and to my not bothering to double check MY answer letter layout, upon NOT coming up with a final answer. We put it aside and then went on to do other things. Even after seeing the answer in today’s paper I did not catch my error until I started to post this “spoiler”! Well, we all had a swell time yesterday – and today, for that matter – and that’s the more important thing.
Nice cartoon of the celebrating couples. My family did our fair share of celebrating, well into the evening. Except we didn’t drink wine. We drank some very fine craft beers! And, we watched some of the college basketball tournament. Good times. Wally even bit my son Derek. Not that hard really. But, he definitely had it coming. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
