Cryptoquote Spoiler – 03/10/21

Free Beer Movement on Twitter: "Ben Franklin's 200 synonyms for “drunk” (via @mentalfloss) http://t.co/75JZZYvZc6 http://t.co/kfj5Zy7Txj"

By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.”   —   Benjamin Franklin

(Yes, this is a repeat!  But, it’s from eight years ago, so it’s cool.  I prepare for trips and for appointments and such.  But as far as my entire life . . . I pretty much fly by the seat of my pants.  Hey, I haven’t ended up in a ditch . . . yet.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Jumble Spoiler – 03/10/21

This clothing brand allows children to design their own clothes. Fashion was never this adorable! | Upsocl

Visual Description:  Kinda like Dolly’s Coat of Many Colors.

MOCAE  =  CAMEO,  SUPAE  =  PAUSE,  CYTIKS  =  STICKY,  PMASYW  =  SWAMPY   —   Giving us:  AEOPESTKSW

Clue/Question:  The talkative young fashion designer made her own clothing, – – –

How to Teach Kids to Sew Their Own Clothes! (Tutorial) - YouTube

Answer:  SEW TO SPEAK

(Kind of a double pun today!  To be fair, the tyke DID make her own clothes.  But, whether she should be seen in public wearing them is another story altogether.  I think in Dolly’s story her mother made the quilt/coat.  And, Dolly had to endure an ample amount of teasing, for daring to wear it to school.  The story was a little too cutesy for me, and the child actress who played her was too cloyingly sweet for me to watch more than the first five minutes, or so.  But, Ms. Parton IS an American icon.  And, she is very philanthropic.

No new clue words today.  Three of the jumbles came up as new for me.  But we’ve definitely seen “supae” sometime before.  The answer letter layout was another tidy ten letter jumble.  I thought it was nicely cryptic.  I kind of missed the comma after clothing, so it took me a few looks to see the answer.

Great cartoon of the bemused mother and her overly enthused, young seamstress.  Considering the kind of things we see coming down the fashion show runways, I don’t think this kid is too bad!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
