Clue/Question: The lawyers who had faith that teaming up would result in success were – – –
Answer: NOT TO BE TRUSTED FIRM BELIEVERS
(A fairly challenging Jumble! Not a putrid pun, but it does have a bit of funk to it. Perhaps the lawyers are preparing their amurcous briefs. Well, lots of folks consider lawyers to be the dregs of society!
All of today’s words are well known to the ralis95 clue word database. Two of the jumbles appear to be new, but I can vouch that we’ve seen “vinge” and “efyler” before. It took me more than a few looks to come up with “freely”. But I didn’t have to back into it. The answer letter layout was a thrilling thirteen letter jumble. It had me stumped for a couple of minutes. At first, I thought the long word was going to end in SIVE. But then, I thought that it would end in S, and that got me believing in BELIEVERS. From the IMFR I got the punny part.
A wonderfully diverse, and overly politically correct law firm cartoon. Two males, two females. Two people of color, and two white/Caucasions. Ooh! And look. One of them is a disabled individual! What?! No Asian??? I normally don’t get THIS pissy over these kind of things, folks, but the whole Dr. Seuss thing has really rankled me. It’s right up there with the ninnies who now insist that “Gone With the Wind” is a racist movie. The so-called “offensive” artwork in the six books COULD BE revised! But no, they’ve decided they will no longer print/produce those six books. And, I’m sure many libraries will be removing the existing ones from their shelves. What a bunch of Potato Heads! Be well and do good, friends.) —YUR
