“Put your heart mind and soul into even your smallest task. This is the secret of success.” —Swami Sivananda
(I do this. But because I’m so anal about how I do things it takes me twice as long to get things done, as most people! Knowing this is a huge contributor to my procrastination. So, which should I cut back on, my heart, my mind, or my soul? Hey, I never knew that Telly Savalas ever appeared on “Hawaii Five-O”! LOL! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
Clue/Question: The cow decided to create her own clothing and was making – – –
Answer: “MOO–MOOS“
(The muʻumuʻu is a Hawaiian dress, which was imposed on the women of Hawaii by the Protestant Missionary Haoles in the 1820s. The Puritan mindsets thought that native women going topless – as they had for countless generations – was “immodest”. Just another example of Colonialism “correcting” an indigenous people.
All familiar old clue words today. Three of the jumbles came up as new, for me. But we’ve definitely seen “tarmol” before. They all came instantly to me. The answer letter layout was a slight seven letter jumble. Considering that I know what the cow says, this was a quick solve.
I think that the cartoon is both hilarious and cute. But I’m a hated White American Male, so what do I know! I’m pretty sure that there is at least one Hawaiian woman out there – and one is all it takes – that is highly offended by this cartoon! This could be Jeff’s Dr. Seuss moment! Tribune might have to issue both an apology, and a promise that this particular cartoon will never be republished! That is the world that we’ve made for ourselves, folks. Might they come after yer Uncle Rave too, for NOT supporting the brainwashing of Cancel Culture? IDK and IDGAF. Y’all can go back to sleep now. Be well and do good, friends.) —YUR
