(A challenging pun. And cleverly spun. It was oodles of fun. And skillfully done . . . by a nun on the run . . . with a gun that would stun! I’m telling you hon . . . this puzzled a ton. My thinking did shun . . . with word number one. Til a child did assist me . . . and no, not my son!
Fortunately, all of today’s clue words are already members of the ralis95 clue word database. Four of our jumbles appear to be new. But we’ve definitely seen both “vintie” and “graulf” in the past. The only one to give me any pause was “petaub”. But since I’m such an upbeat kinda guy . . . The answer letter layout was a fantastic fifteen letter jumble. Nothing obvious there. With the final answer slots I was able to see OF HIS LIFE. But writing out the HMPR E Y did NOT help me at all. I didn’t even see RHYME! I was trying to do something with PH. So, I gave it to my daughter, and after a few minutes she asked me what rhymes with rhyme! And then, she said prime! And the pun was dun . . . like a bun in the sun?
Another excellent cartoon! The teacher’s in shock . . . to see the good Doc. These kids look enthralled . . . and no one’s appalled, that there’s diversity in a 1957 classroom. Must’ve been in a northern state. Great job, David and Jeff! Be well and always do good, friends.) —YUR
