According to the WordPress gurus, today is the thirteenth anniversary of Uncle Rave’s Wordy Weblog! The traditional gift is lace, but I’ll gladly accept cash, stocks, beer, bourbon, and any illicit . . . LOL! Stay well and do some good, friends!— YUR
Clue/Question: They only wanted the guppies from the tank, so the store’s employee – – –
Answer: FISHED THEM OUT
(I had Guppies when I was little. Also goldfish. I’m pretty sure we overfed the guppies, and they died. But, we gave them a nice burial at sea. AKA we flushed them. We had more success with the gold fish, generally. When I was in my teens I won a very pale goldfish, at a school fair, that we named Silver. We had Silver for years. She was a very smart goldfish, who seemed to like our cat, up until the point when the cat would start pawing at the water. Then she knew to seek shelter. It was almost like a game between them, but both seemed to know that their friendship had limits.
“HOMER” is coming up as a new clue word. I’m a little surprised, but I guess ralis95 will have to update his world famous clue word database again. Three of the jumbles appear to be new, but we’ve definitely seen “budto” in the past. The answer letter layout was a terrific thirteen letter jumble. I thought it was sufficiently cryptic.
Great cartoon of a kid looking through an aquarium, while the guy tries to catch some Guppies. I guess that’s Mom looking on. I also used to get fish from the pet department at Woolworths. As a kid, I used to spend a good amount of time at Woolworths. They seemed to have a little of everything. I really liked their lunch counter. The food was fresh made, and very reasonable. I was saddened to see them go out of business. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
