Clue/Question: The computer programmer loved his new pillow because it was – – –
Answer: DOWN–LOADED
(That it is! No arguing with that. Sure, it’s a stinky pun, but it is accurate. Are they making down pillows again? I thought that those were things of the past. My mom clung to her down pillows, but by the time she passed they were awfully worn. Very thin, and feathers would leak out regularly.
Hoyt has snuck another new clue word into today’s Jumble, in “wedded”. I was a little surprised, but I don’t remember having seen it before. Our old friend, ralis95, will have to update his world famous database accordingly. All of today’s jumbles are coming up as new. I didn’t struggle with any of them though. The answer letter layout was a splendid ten letter jumble. Nothing obvious about it.
Nice domestic scene of some probable millennials. They appear to be clueless about down pillows. Before all these various foams came along, down pillows were pretty much the norm. They seem to eager to pay top dollar for them though! I wonder if they have any plans to bring back the rotary dial telephones??? Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Very good setup, final answer, and pun. I needed an extra minute to untangle it, as I just focused on the letters while not paying enough attention to the cartoon dialogue. I also kept trying to force in WELL-somethingED when there weren’t enough L’s or E’s to allow that.
Pillow fight at light’s out tonight!

When I’m in JC Penney, I look for feathered pillows. I last saw one there a couple years ago. Was there yesterday, and they didn’t have any.
Hmm! Ya think SOLD OUT, or they don’t carry them anymore? — YUR
I’m thinking Don’t Carry, because there were a couple newer types of foam pillows, and a ‘cool foam’ type, along with the usual assortment they carry. All the racks were full, there wasn’t an empty one where feathered pillows would go (nor a label that I could see). I recall they were pricey, $69 and that was half-off the full price.
