Cryptoquote Spoiler – 07/22/19

(I always stunk at Shakespeare!  I can only guess that this is from “The Merchant of Venice”.  Can anyone either verify, or redress, my presumption?  Considering that he is one of the most often quoted writers in the English language, we don’t get a lot of Shakespeare quotes here at the Cryptoquote.  Perhaps Rebecca is trying to avoid the trite and predictable?  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Clue/Question:  The washed-up coffee grower was a – – –

Answer:  HAS “BEAN“

(Cute and simple stinky pun.  I had the answer even before looking at the cartoon.  Short answers with quotation marks sometimes just jump out at you.  Today’s fits the bill.  I could add a whole bunch of other coffee puns, but I’m not in the mood.

No new clue words today.  However, all of the jumbles came up as new.  I wouldn’t call any of them stumpers.  A fine seven letter jumble for the answer letter layout.  But, a simple solve today.

Amusing cartoon, though a little loony.  I drink coffee 365 days a year, but it’s not exactly my beverage of choice when I’m outside on a hot summer’s day.  And, you wouldn’t get me to spend 4 bucks on it either.  But, to each their own.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
