VEEAL = LEAVE, ONHRO = HONOR, TECRIM = METRIC, GOMYGS = SMOGGY — Giving us: EAHRETISM
Clue/Question: When the brothers took turns wearing their grandfather’s watch, it was a – – –

Answer: TIME SHARE
(A pun-ctual stinky pun! Why these two bros are by the shore is neither here nor there, as far as this Jumble goes, but I’m guessing there is some kind of personal connection to Jeff going on here.
None of today’s clue words came up as new today. ralis95 can rest easy. Three of the jumbles appear to be new, with only “veeal” having definitely been used before. The only one to give me any trouble was “tecrim”. I even attempted to back into it, but without the missing ETI the final answer was far from apparent. I went back to it. I didn’t have to write out dozens of combinations, or anything. It just finally clicked. I guess I’m just the typical American, who can’t seem to think metrically. We WERE making progress back in the ’70s and early ’80s, but Uncle Ronnie pulled the plug on the metrification board. Almost all of the products that we buy are in both the Imperial and Metric measurements, but we’re skewed to the Imperial. Looks like it’s the US, Liberia, and Myanmar, holding the line on the Imperial System! What a motley crew!
Cool cartoon. Friends of Jeff’s? Possibly twins? Any excuse to squeeze in the classic sinking sailboat is always alright by me. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
