(I’m sure Ma and Pa did very well for themselves.  Leasing your land for oil wells pays a whole lot better than farming.  And, you’ll no longer have to wake up at the crack of dawn, and work like a dog all day.  Of course, there are environmental repercussions, but that’s for the grand kids to worry about.

No new clue words today!  Three of the jumbles are coming up as new, with only “dolced” having definitely been used before.  The answer letter layout was an impressive thirteen letter jumble.  I think the lengths of the answer spaces were my biggest hints.

Great cartoon, incorporating an iconic American couple.  Possibly the most parodied work of American art.  I hope Grant Wood is looking down and smiling at all the tributes.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
