Visual Description: The Taxman Cometh?
RAWYE = WEARY, DIGRI = RIGID, SANXYT = SYNTAX, GUHACT = CAUGHT — Giving us: ERISHT
Clue/Question: What does your money become when you combine “THE” and “IRS”?
Answer: The opposite of YOURS . . . THEIRS
(Cute. Appropriate. Although, you actually have until April 18 this year. Some state holiday somewhere is giving us all a little reprieve. Not sure if “syntax” is new, but the others are definitely old favorites. Two of the jumbles appear to be new. The answer letter layout was fine. Standard kitchen table tax time cartoon. Be well and do good, friends. File your tax returns . . . or file for an extension.) — YUR
PS. Syntax is definitely a new clue word! It needs to be added to the ralis95 clue word database. — YUR
I had a LOT of trouble with SYNTAX. Had to back into it. Thankfully, the final answer was very short and obvious. Still, S as the first letter didn’t give me SYNTAX right away. This word is going into my “toughest words” list.
Today’s went fairly easy. Syntax came relatively quickly once I figured out the Y wasn’t on the end. And the answer clue was incredibly literal.
