Those who consider a thing proved simply because it is in print are fools.”   —   Maimonides

(Nowadays, we have to beware of all we read on the internet.  There is a lot of garbage out there, folks.  But, you can believe all that you read on Uncle Rave’s Wordy Weblog.  Yes, yer uncle went up to the summit of the mountain, to bring you these fifteen . . .  CRASH CRUMBLE, oops . . . Ten, ten great truths!  LOL!  Don’t take any wooden nickels, friends.  Be well and do good.)   —   YUR

Answer:  BUILD AN AUDIENCE

(Oh, yeah.  These guys are going to get a lot done, with a large flat screen TV taking up the entire work bench!  They’ll probably take turns making caveman grunts, a la Tim Allen, while they watch the pros actually build something.  This was in reality a fairly tough Sunday Jumble.  There were no new clue words, but 5 of the jumbles came up as new.  The only one I can confirm that we’ve seen before is “tacili”, and still it gave me some trouble.  The other one that gave me a little hassle was “ombyed”.  I didn’t have to back into either of them.  I just skipped over them after a bit, and then came back and gottem.  The answer letter layout was pretty nifty.  I liked how the word NAIL stands out.  Possibly a bit of purposeful misdirection?  I settled on AN as the second word right away, then just saw AUDIENCE.  The remaining DBLIU gave me BUILD . . .  and the pun!  Tim and Al are looking good, in Jeff’s cartoon.  Be well and do goo, friends.)   —   YUR

PS.  Congrats to North Carolina and Villanova on their big wins yesterday!  They’re going on to the Big Game, Monday night.  Should be a great game.     YUR
