Answer:  The Henry H. Kessler Foundation

What?  Oh, sorry!  I meant:  HIGHER POWER

(I guess I was thinking about that PBS series, called Afterlife.  There were no new clue words today, however three of the jumbles came up as new.  We have seen “conhop” before.  It’s possible that, in the not so distant future, “poncho” will have to be removed from the ralis95 clue word database, as there’s a big push to make “conhop” the next new compound word.  With the growing prison population in this country we may be seeing a whole slew of con related compound words.  “Con-hop” describes the manner in which a prisoner in leg-shackles has to walk.  And, of course, you can take this as fact, because you are reading it here, on the internet!  If you’re good at reading backwards, you probably noticed that “roirp” is  just “prior” backwards.  The answer letter layout was a dandy jumble!  Remember the Kinks had a hit in 1966 with Dandy?  It was a jaunty little tune!  So, heaven is cordless?  Hmm!  I guess everything is bluetooth and wi-fi up there.  Let’s make sure we’re all buried with our handheld devices!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

  1. I saw the reverse PRIOR right away. All the jumbles were fairly easy. For the answer, I knew one word was Power, so the remaining letters fell into place.
