The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little extra.”   —   Jimmy Johnson

(I think Jimmy was channeling Yogi Berra when he came up with this one.  Either that, or he was a little dizzy from the hair spay fumes!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

PS.  I was always a big fan of Joe Garagiola‘s!  I don’t remember him as a player, but I do remember him as an announcer, especially for the Saturday Game of the Week, on NBC, when I was a kid.  My parents split when I was six, and I don’t think my dad was ever a big baseball fan anyway.  And, my mom had a bug up her butt about Little League, so I never participated.  Baseball is not an easy sport to pick up on your own, just by observing.  You really need to either play the game, or have a parent, or anyone in-the-know, explain it to you.  I credit Joe Garagiola for teaching me the game of baseball.  He may have annoyed some who already knew the game, but to a clueless kid like me . . . he was a Godsend!  I’m happy that he had a nice long life.  But, he will be missed.  Rest in peace, Joe.  And, thanks for everything.   —   YUR

UDMHI  =  HUMID,  VARAL  =  LARVA,  FALBEF  =  BAFFLE,  TOLINO  =  LOTION   —   Giving us:  HUILAFFLT

Clue/Question:  The crowded church service was – – –

English: Church service

Answer:  FAITHFULL

(The holidays seem to have a way of bringing in the strays!  All old favorite clue words today.  Two of the jumbles did come up as new though.  The answer letter layout was also a great jumble.  I knew immediately that the second part of the word had to be FULL, but it took me a minute to unscramble HIAFT into FAITH.  When I did, I though:  Well, duh!!!  Great cartoon.  I love the one guy obviously asleep, and the little kid turned around sticking his tongue out!  A bit of the cartoon’s dialog kind of ties into today’s Cryptoquote.  Be well and do good, friends.  Peace be with you.)   —   YUR
