(Happy Saint Patrick’s Day to all of ye!  May ye all be blessed with the luck o the Irish . . . and harney blarney blah, blah, blah!  I’m not Irish, but I do look pretty good in green, if I do say so meself!  I do have blue eyes and a pasty white complexion, so a lot of people think I’m Irish.  Hey, if it helps me score a pint of Guinness, or “Smiddick’s” – aka: Smithwick’s – or a buss from a fine bonnie lass, then I’ll swear to be Irish . . . on me dear mother’s grave.  But, Mom’s not dead, so I’ll try not to swear.

A decent holiday themed pun!  There were no new clue words today, but three of the jumbles are coming up new.  We have seen “neess” before.  I thought the jumble for “clamor” was challenging.  Although, I always see “abrupt” right away.  The answer letter layout didn’t give anything away.  The biggest thing for me was that there were only three vowels.  That, and the leading nature of the clue/question.  New York and Chicago have the biggest Saint Patrick’s Day Parades.  Chicago even dies their river green for the day.  I try not to drink green beer though.  Stuff freaks me out!  Fine cartoon, me boy-os!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
