(Great stinky pun! Kinda like a wet dog smell. Hey, hey, hey! We have a brand new clue word today in “keeper”. Our tried and true, buddy blue, ralis95, will have to add this to his world famous clue word database! Three of the jumbles seem to be new, with “racgli” having definitely been used before. Superb answer letter layout, once again. Nothing obvious about it. And, a fine cartoon. That pup looks very intense. That rubber ducky better watch himself. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
Wow, two new words already this week, and this is only “hump-day!” Can’t wait to see how Hoyt finishes out the week. Maybe having his parents visit, will inspire him to add even more!!
They got me with the new word. I got fixated on “PEEKER” and couldn’t see KEEPER, so I had to back into it by realizing I’d need a “P” towards the end of it for POINTERS. PEEKER appears in some online dictionaries but not the American Heritage Dictionary, while KEEPER is a common word and in every dictionary, so no complaints about that.
That’s right, boss! His dad has helped out in the past, with “new” words. I’ll keep my fingers crossed.

Wow, just could not come up w/correct solve. Knew somehow point was in the mix but the brain did not want to give it up. Got first letter right as g, nothing else. It’s ok, will keep on keepin’ on! Ha! Stay well Unc.
I got Peeker as well, and since it cropped up in a few dictionaries, I went with that. Which of course led to having a K in the clue letters which won’t work. I kinda thought Pointer was one of the answer words, but since I went with Peeker, it’ll never work.
Hi! Here’s a quick answer to the KEEPER/PEEKER issue. Somehow KEEPER got put in at the last second to fix a problem. When we put it into our Jumble solver program, PEEKER did not come up because it’s not in the dictionary that we use. But, I feel like we should have spotted PEEKER anyway. But we didn’t. I’m taking KEEPER/PEEKER off my list of possible words. I do feel that someone who peeks is a peeker even though it’s not in our official dictionary. Sorry I haven’t been checking much this summer. The David L. Hoyt Education Foundation stuff has me going around the clock. Yer Uncle Rave is always willing to post a free plug for one of his boys! FWIW, I don’t consider “peeker” a legitimate word. (Nor does WordPress!) I’m not seeing it in any established dictionary. But, “keeper” is a keeper!

Thank goodness I did not get caught up on PEEKER. I would have checked PEEKER on my handy dandy Franklin Spelling Ace — and I just did — and it comes up as “correct” on the Ace. So, I would have gone with it and been so lost! LindaLee
Logically, “peeker” SHOULD be an acceptable word, as: *one who peeks*. But, the fact remains that the established dictionaries; Merriam-Webster, Oxford, Macmillan, and Cambridge, do not recognize the word, as they all do “keeper”. Therefore, it is not a valid word. The great and powerful YUR has spoken! Pay no attention to that man behind the keyboard. LOL!

Aren’t words funny!!! I am so surprised the Franklin Spelling Ace actually OKd the (non)word! LL
