Clue/Question:  To get information before cutting hair, the salon owner did – – –

Answer:  “DO“ DILIGENCE

(This qualifies as a real stinky pun!  A real groaner!  But, that’s why I like it.  There were no new clue words today, but three of the jumbles appear to be new.  I thought that both “feddie” – which we’ve had before – and “ccesin” were fairly challenging jumbles.  I semi-backed into them.  The answer letter layout was a marvelous jumble.  I don’t think it gave anything away.  The quotation marks were the big clue for me!  That, and my 24 years in trust accounting.  Nifty cartoon.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

PS.  Happy Autumnal Equinox everybody!  Some twelve year old wrote something about it being “a little depressing”, because the days are getting shorter!  Duh!  They’ve been getting shorter since June the 22nd, you dweeb!  Try getting out of bed before noon, you mentally lazy moron!  LOL!  Autumn rules!   —   YUR
