We were treated to all old favorite clue words today. However, all four jumbles came up as new. I actually had to skip “posli” and come back to it, after the three other jumbles! I fell prey to the two syllable jumble for a one syllable word ploy. Curse you, Hoyt! LOL! The answer letter layout was another dandy of a jumble. Nothing given away. The cartoon – once again – reinforces our American ignorance about the Tower of Big Ben. Big Ben is the bell, not the clock. But, who cares, you Limey bastards?!?! Thanks for the reminder, UR. Big Ben is the Bell (all 3 start with the letter B) that gave us Westminster Chimes. Of course that invites the question, what do you call the clock? The tower? Britons are encouraged to chime in …
Well, time flies when your having fun. It seems the Uncle has already forgotten that last month on Aug. 9th, the cartoon had the two tourist discussing that Big Ben was the nickname for the great bell of the clock. Not reinforcing, but educating. Of course if you were to type in “Big Ben” into Google images, good luck finding anything but the clock tower. Let’s accept that the whole thing is known as Big Ben. OK, smarty pants?

Too funny!!!! All I know is that when I saw the jumble of SPOIL again, I was lost again! I did get it all figured out for the jumble, but it took some diagramming out.
