Clue/Question:  Preparing for the Labor Day cookout was – – –

Answer:  A LOT OF WORK

(Who was that guy from Cal Tech who used to comment all the time, then just kinda disappeared???  I’m having a senior moment!  One of my old roommates has worked at Cal Tech, for the last 30 years.  The jumble “botro” reminds me of something Astro, from The Jetsons, would say.  And “falco” brings to mind one of my favorite characters, Johnny Falco, from one of my favorite movies, “The Replacements”, and one of my favorite actresses, Edie Falco!  And, also there was that “Rock Me Amadeus” singer from the mid ’80s.  I wonder what happened to him?  All of today’s clue words are old favorites, but each of the jumbles came up as new.  The answer letter layout was beautifully cryptic.  Nothing obvious about it.  And, the cartoon shows everybody doing their part.  A real community effort.  Be well and do good, friends.  Drive carefully.)   —   YUR
