Visual Description: Love losers, lining up for luck.
TNOEF = OFTEN, LGSIL = GILLS, EIOCTX = EXOTIC, ULEEDG = DELUGE — Giving us: FNILSEIELG
Clue/Question: When the men entered the room for the speed dating, they went in . . .
Answer: SINGLE FILE
(Not bad, at all! Every one of the clue words were very well jumbled. I had to give a few looks to “often”. “Gills” gets a pass on the plural rule, for fairly obvious reasons. But, it looks like a new entry for the database, regardless. Both “exotic” and “deluge” are upper shelf words! The answer letter layout gave nothing away. And, it’s one of those fun, sign-o-the-times cartoons. The lead dude looks suspiciously like our friend Jeff! Hmm. Don’t get any fancy ideas, Buster! You’re a married man . . . with kids! Straighten up and fly right! LOL! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
PS. Still no Zemanta! I’m guessing they discontinued it. Or, maybe now I have to pay for it? — YUR
For your file, single in Miami!
Why would you spoil a puzzle?
Dear Anonymous,
My intention was not to spoil it for you.
If you’ve come to Uncle Yur’s site, isn’t a given that you’ve either solved it yourself or given up?
Marc
I went crazy trying to get OFTEN. I didn’t back into it, but it was hard! WHY? Of course because it starts with a vowel and has a “silent ” T. If it weren’t for “speed dating,” I would have never met my husband! So you are thinking…you guys met speed dating? Noooooo! My husband did it for fun, and he was one of only a few guys, and there were slim pickins, so he told the gal that ran it that she owed him one. She gave him a coupon for a month free for a dating website, and that is where we met! HA! Cartoon made us laugh!
I suppose if I were single I might try it! It’s always a brand new world!
