Answer:  BIG FOOT

(Three days???  Dudes!  He’s right behind you!  Some expert!  This was fun.  An easy one to start the week.  No new clue words today, but three of the jumbles came up as new.  They’ve definitely used “gloonb” before.  Decent answer letter layout, for the answer size.  Cute cartoon.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

“Three days,” four days, who’s counting? Last appearance of FORBID was as BRIFDO, Feb. 11!

Yep, easy. Though Oblong and Octet I don’t hear normally, so again they don’t seem to be ordinary words in my own mind……

    Damid,

I think “ordinary words” are any English words that are not particularly specialized, as to some branch of science, or specific to a certain group or industry. Words that CAN be used in every day English, even if they are not all that common to everyone, are considered “ordinary words”.
