Is there an error in this cryptoquote? In my Oxford Eagle 3/11/13, following the word “Eleanor” all I have is “– XHENXP NVDBB TWHCDP”, which is obviously not code for “Roosevelt”. I am going crazy!
Olive,
I think your newspaper – and perhaps some others – just made a little mistake. Those letters – XHENXP NVDBB TWHCDP – are from a previous day’s cryptoquote. They stood for: ORISON SWETT MARDEN. (I guess my memory isn’t completely shot!) — YUR
