Answer: “PURR–SISTENT“
(Where’s Eartha Kitt when you need her??? I have to admit, I was always more of a Julie Newmar man – okay, boy – but Eartha couldn’t be topped at the rolling of her Rs, when making her purr-puns, as Catwoman, in the 1960’s Batman series. What campy fun that was! I think the show was what got me into comic books as a boy. Great memories.
We have a new clue word today, in “burger”. Our good friend, ralis95, can add it to his world famous clue word database! Two of the other jumbles came up as new, with “purngs” having been used previously. The answer letter layout was another great jumble, and didn’t give the answer away. The cartoon’s dialog, the clue/question, and the quotation marks and hyphen, were the biggest clues to the answer. Punny Jumble. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
PS. Today is Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. If you’re prone to prayer, then say one for those souls lost that day, 74years ago. — YUR
