(If I were just poor – I mean always had been poor – I’d likely be happy.  But, having had a “good job”, for many years, then being un/under-employed for a number of years, I have accumulated a lot of debt.  And, I mean A LOT OF DEBT.  The chickens have finally come home to roost.  And guess what?  I can’t pay the piper.  The debt collectors, the angst, and night sweats make it a little hard to say that I’m in a state of happiness.  So, even if wealth doesn’t buy happiness, it does buy the peace of mind that makes it easier to assert that you’re happy.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
