Answer:  FIELD DAY

(Splendid Jumble!  It brought us four new jumbles and two new clue words!  I suspected “birdie” was going to come up as new, but I was surprised that “fatten” also did.  Looks like ralis95 will have two new additions to his world famous clue word database.  The answer letter layout was also a fine jumble.  It did not give away the answer.  The cartoon was wonderful.  You know you’re looking at a farm, probably in late autumn.  The barn and silos in the background, along with some crows in the sky.  And, the grateful scarecrows, finally getting some well-deserved time off, playing horse-shoes and bean-bag toss, and eating what they were protecting most of the year.  Lots of fun, today.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
