isual Description: Oscar after-party.
FETHI = THIEF, TURMS = STRUM, VEGRON = GOVERN, YADNIT = DAINTY — Giving us: THSTRGRNAIY
Clue/Question: When the actors and actresses celebrated their Oscar award wins, it was a . . .
Answer: STARRY THING (s/b NIGHT. Thanks to Pat, Art and anonymous! Even yer uncle can make mistakes, from time to time.)
(That’s what I came up with, at least. It fits, and makes sense. But, I’m open to other answers. I’m guessing some of you guys had some trouble in getting this. No new clue words, today. Tough answer letter layout. Pretty good likenesses of Hathaway, Lewis, MacFarlane and Spielberg. The Ben Affleck was pretty weak, and I don’t know who the girl chatting with Seth is. I was guessing just a fan. But, who knows? Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

I think it’s a starry night. Whadda I know though?
Think that’s probably “NIGHT”!
Pat, Anonymous and Art . . . you guys are right! NIGHT makes so much more sense!

Starry Night worked for me…
Thanks, oldg! You’re right. I was wrong. — YUR
Starry night!
Sorry I didn’t read all other comments before posting.
Bit I thought there was a rule that it couldn’t make more than one real word???
i believe its starry night not thing!
Betsy,
That rule applies to clue words only, not words in the answer. It was just my bad. So sorry.

UNC- I Forgive you. WIMPY
Wow, Uncle, you got “Silent Treatment”, but missed “night”. Amazing!!
Bill
Bill,
I *got* “thing” before figuring out “starry”! It kind of jumped out of the answer letter layout for me. When “starry” made sense, I didn’t even think to change “thing”. STARRY THING doesn’t make for a pun, but it flows and makes some sense. From my comments, you could tell I wasn’t loving it. Live and learn!

I also came up with starry night!!! Thank goodness I didn’t get thing first or I would have thought that was it. Govern gave me fits though. I was certainly not a breeze for me!
No worries, YUR! You’re the best! Betsy
