Answer:  FIXED INCOME

(A wonderful Jumble pun!  And, it doesn’t feel like a re-run.  I’ve heard of retired repairmen who worked on the cheap, but I’ve never run into one who works for free.  Maybe he just does this occasionally, based on individual customers.  I’d feel guilty if he didn’t accept at least a little something.

No new clue words today.  Three of the jumbles are coming up as new, but we’ve definitely seen “clxee” in previous Jumbles.  The answer letter layout was an elusive eleven letter jumble.  Decently cryptic.  But the X led me directly to FIXED, and then INCOME revealed itself.

Great washroom scene cartoon.  The husband looks like he’s prepared to lay out the cash.  The repairman looks extremely laid back.  Maybe he’s a neighbor, or something.  Fun Monday Jumble.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

  1. Sunday’s wasn’t easy, hal. But, I made a mistake in yesterday’s comments, calling it a “washroom”. That would be another way of saying bathroom. I should have said laundry room. I think I was paying too much attention to the washing machine!
