(Gnats and other flying insects “bug” you. Mosquitoes are tiny little vampires, who are out to drink your blood! Besides the initial pain, and ensuing itching, they can also spread a long laundry list of diseases. Most Americans don’t have to worry too much about Malaria, or Dengue Fever, or Yellow Fever, at least not here in the states. But both the Zika and West Nile viruses are a strong possibility. They always say that every living thing has a purpose, but I don’t see any positive aspect of the mosquito, other than being food for bats and birds, and I guess fish and some reptiles/amphibians. They’re just a big pain!
All four clue words are Jumble classics. Two of their jumbles are coming up as new, for me. But we’ve definitely seen both “merig” and “blumme” in previous Jumbles. The answer letter layout made for an elevated eleven letter jumble. Not obvious. I figured the second word of the final answer was going to be THEM, and the remainder gave me BUGGING. The final answer was a little simplistic. I was hoping for something a little more original. But it’s Labor Day, so the guys deserve a break! LOL!
