“A black cat crossing your path signifies that the animal is going somewhere.” — Groucho Marx
(Excellent! I love common sense that counters superstition. I dated this cute, very nice Italian-American girl, a co-worker actually, and I was a little shocked that she thought that a black cat crossing our path was bad luck. Her family was super nice, but our customs just seemed worlds apart. She was a good kisser, but we did not progress past that. I ended up kinda ghosting her. I know. Not my finest moment, but she got married a few years later, transferred to a different department, later we were . . . cordial when we had to interact on the job. She must be a nonna by now. And I bet she never owned a black cat! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
