Answer:  RESIGN OR RESIGN

(Not bad.  Kinda the same vibe as last Sunday’s Jumble, with COUPLE OF COUPLES.  But very politically correct, featuring a woman sports team owner!  Is this the first Jumble to feature professional Soccer, or Fútbol, as most of the world refers to it?  I won’t call it Football, as I’m a red-blooded American male, and we already have a sport called that.  Who gives a crap about the rest of the world!  Dang fereigners!  U.S.A.! U.S.A.!! U.S.A.!!!  LOL!  I actually enjoyed playing it as a kid/teen.  My brother and I used to go to NASL games in the 1970s.  We even saw Pelé play, when the Cosmos came to town, but I’m not really a fan of watching it on television.  Too little scoring, too much flopping, and they often just go on . . . f o r e v e r!

All six of today’s clue words are on the ralis95 clue word database.  Four of the jumbles are coming up as new for me, but we’ve definitely seen both “goning” and “tiniss” in previous Jumbles.  No real head scratchers, for me.  The answer letter layout was  a fortified fourteen letter jumble.  I definitely don’t think all the repeating letters made it a difficult solve though.  Maybe they should’ve been mixed up a bit.

Fine cartoon of the aging Soccer star, meeting with the team owner.  Maybe this is supposed to be that Messi guy.  I’m pretty sure he isn’t supposed to be M’bappé.  And, I’m even more sure it’s not supposed to be Megan Rapinoe!  My friend Andy is a big soccer fan.  He’s a dang fereigner, but we like him.  He watches traditional American sports too.  Whenever he brings up Soccer I always call it Kickball.  He doesn’t seem to find that funny.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

  1. I was never a big soccer guy. Both my kids played travel soccer as youngsters ⚽️. My oldest was a goalie 🥅. My youngest just kinda liked socializing. I do watch when the US 🇺🇸 plays in the Olympics and World Cup. Or when Nomar married Mia 🐽Hamm 🍗. Lots of pretty soccer girls like Alex Morgan 🦵⚽️. They aren’t just lesbians 👅 anymore (not that there is anything wrong with it).

Speaking of ham, the boars 🐗 over there 👉 oinked 14x y’day, but just 5 by their top swine 🙋🏻‍♀️. Something fishy 🐠 is going on and I can’t quite put my finger 👆 on it. 🤓. Millions of views, few comments. 💩🙏 Tks.

Happy Patriots Day, YUR’s favorite holiday of the year! 🤩 Boston Marathon 🏃‍♀️ Red Sox ⚾️ at 11. What a day! And An extra day for Unc to pay his massive tax bill 💰. YUR welcome! 🤲🏻 🍀

Have a great holiday for those who celebrate 🎉 like me!

  2. Hey, Smitty! There have been times where I’ve rooted for Boston teams. Not the Cheatriots, of course, but I have been for the Bruins and Celtics . . . on a few rare occasions. Plus, anytime your Red Sox play the – hated – Yankees! LOL!
