“The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other’s life.” — Richard Bach
(A beautiful pre-Thanksgiving Day articulation! Most of us have friends who are easily as close to us – and even closer sometimes – than some of our blood relatives. They’re with you, and you’re with them, by choice.
I want to change the subject, to one of remembrance. 60 years ago today the 35th President of the United States, John Fitzgerald Kennedy, was assassinated while riding in an open-air motorcade, in Dallas, TX. It was definitely one of the darkest days in American history, and one that has resulted in a lot of mistrust of the government, for a number of reasons. He was intelligent, handsome, articulate and charismatic, and he was working to make the country kinder and less discriminatory. It would have been so nice to see what he might have accomplished. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
