Clue/Question:  The rooster meteorologist predicted . . .

Answer:  FOWL WEATHER

(Very cute.  The pun is about as old as they come, but Foghorn Leghorn RULES!!!  He’s my favorite Looney Tunes character.  No new clue words, but some interesting jumblings.  The answer letter layout was good, but it could have been better.  The cartoon made the Jumble!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

I live in the crowds of jollity, not so much to enjoy company as to shun myself.”   —   Samuel Johnson

(I had to look up “jollity”, to see if it was listed as archaic.  Surprisingly, it wasn’t.  I don’t think I’ve ever heard the word used before.  Must be a Brit thing.  But, it was the word “crowds” that was solved last.  These two words made this a challenging solve.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Clue/Question:  The airport’s security canine was the . . .

Answer:  SCENTER OF ATTENTION

(Wow!  Great pun!  Great answer letter layout!  And, great cartoon!  I’m kind of surprised that both the Saturday and Sunday Jumbles were very challenging.  That is kind or a rarity.  No new clue words.  Decent clue word jumbling, but nothing too difficult.  For me, it was all about the answer.  And, I thought it was a pretty good challenge.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Clue/Question:  He would end up going broke as a result of this.

Answer:  POOR JUDGMENT

(Because of the – what I thought was the intentional – omission of the word “mask” I was trying to come up with a mask related answer.  I was also thinking of something along the lines of a nightmare related answer, but none of the letters jumped out at me.  Actually, the word JUMP did kind of jump out at me, and I thought it might be the first word, but I couldn’t do anything with OTDREONG.  Clearly, the guy – the dad? – did show poor judgment . . . and he’s liable to end up poor because of it, but the cartoon was kind of misleading , to me.  Finally, the word “broke” in the Clue/Question led me to “poor”, and then I figured out “judgment”.  Very good answer letter layout, by the way!  We haven’t seen “joist” in a while, or “oblong” for that matter.  I love the cartoon, but for me it was more of a distraction than an aide, in solving the answer.  Did any of you guys have problems similar to mine???  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

(There’s not much cooler than being a physicist!  I wish that someone had sold me on math when I was young.  I had always loved science, but struggled with mathematics.  And, no one explained to me how they were connected.  I wish the television show “Numbers” had been around when I was a kid.  Things might have gone in a completely different path if I’d been shown that light.  Oh, well!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
