(This is one of those interesting factoid ones!  Apparently, and contrary to popular belief, the zebra on the left is correct!  They are essentially black, with white stripes.  It’s similar to the majority’s belief that polar bears fur and skin are white, when in reality their skin is black, and their fur is actually transparent!  Cool stuff, huh kids?

Had some great jumbling of some great clue words, today.  Right out of the gate, I stumbled a bit on “settle”.  I kind of ignored one of the “T”s and was writing in STEEL . . . when the Homer in me came out!  Doh!  Alright, I recovered quickly.  The next word I got right away, but as it turns out “shrunk” is going to be a new addition to the ralis95 clue word database.  I can see some having trouble getting “immune”.  I love the word “torrid”.  It always makes me think of those Harlequin romance novels that the ladies like so much.   I’m generally kind of “cranky”, and I thought that “accuse” was jumbled really well.  Sorta like with “settle”, I was seeing SAUCE, and wondering what the extra C was for?!  I wasn’t actually writing it out, this time, but it did take me a few extra seconds to come up with the right word.  The answer letter layout was good enough.  Looking at it now, I can sort of make out the word STICK, mainly because of the ICK, but I wouldn’t call it super obvious.  The biggest clue was the cartoon itself, with the giraffe peeking from behind a tree.  Very cute.  I thought overall today’s was a lot of fun.  I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did!  Enjoy the remainder of your weekend!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
