“The right to be let alone is indeed the beginning of all freedom.” — William O. Douglas
(Looks like someone forgot that this quote – minus an F – was used two weeks ago, on June the 16th! Maybe someone was thinking about my Dad again! Be well and do good, friends.) —YUR

Happy birthday to Tom Drummond of Better Than Ezra!
“The right to be left alone is indeed the beginning of all freedom.” — William O. Douglas
(There is pretty much no way to be – truly – left alone in the 21st Century. With the GPS in our cars and cell phones, and credit card chips, and the currency bands in all of our money, we’re always going to have . . . company! You’d have to be some kind of hermit farmer to actually be “left alone”. And, who among us has it within them to be a Euell Gibbons, or a Bear Grylls? Not yer uncle, that’s for sure!
Happy birthday to my dear departed Dad! He would have turned 87 today! I’ll have some strawberries in his honor! Be well and do good, friends.) —YUR

(By way of comparison: Associate Justice William O. Douglas = CHEETAH, Associate Justice Clarence Thomas = banana slug. Apologies to all the banana slugs.) —YUR
