50+ Best Walt Disney Quotes on Life, Dreams and Family - Parade: Entertainment, Recipes, Health, Life, Holidays

All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.”   —   Walt Disney

(I think the bigger part of courage here is confidence.  The more confident you are in your abilities the more courageous you can be.  Generally speaking, confidence is not innate.  It has to be taught and/or nurtured.  A little caution is fine, but not to the extent where it creates doubt.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Ten Things You May Not Know About Madame Leota - Celebrations Press

Goblins and ghoulies from last Halloween, awaken the spirits with your tambourine!”   —   Madame Leota, Disney’s Haunted Mansion

(A cute little seasonal rhyme!  I took the kids – a couple of times – to Disney World many many years ago, but I don’t remember the Haunted Mansion!  So, I’m not familiar with Madame Leota.  It looks like a lotta fun though.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Walt Disney Actually Lied About Creating Mickey Mouse - Inside the Magic

It’s kind of fun to do the impossible.”   —   Walt Disney

(Good ol’ Uncle Walt!  Walt, and all the other early animators, relied on real artistry.  They painstakingly created wonderful works of art.  Today’s animation is just too gimmicky, with a heavy reliance on a 3-D appearance, which is all accomplished with computer graphics.  That’s not to say that I don’t enjoy the occasional animated movie, because I still do.  But it’s just not the same as the older stuff that really shines for me.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

The Wonderful World Of Disney (1986) – Original One Sheet Movie Poster – Hollywood Movie Posters

Laughter is timeless; imagination has no age; dreams are forever.”   —   Walt Disney

(I remember being like five years old, and thinking that Walt Disney was the greatest man in the whole wide world!  “The Wonderful World of Disney” was on every Sunday night at my house.  It came on right after “Lassie”.  The closing theme music to “Lassie” always got me a little choked up, but then the Disney theme music would cheer me right back up.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.”   —   Walt Disney

(I was at least half way through before I realized this was from Uncle Walt!  I kind of resent what Disney has become, especially 42nd Street in NYC, but Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color”, and then “The Wonderful World of Disney”, played a big part in my childhood!  Especially in the early ’60s, when the majority of TV was still broadcast in black and white, the NBC peacock, and shows like Disney, and “The Virginian” were colorful marvels!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

The more you like yourself, the less you are like anyone else, which makes you unique.”   —   Walt Disney

(I like this quote!  And, I think there is a lot of truth to it.  I know to some it may sound like psycho-babble, but it’s been said that to truly love others you must first learn to love yourself.  It’s not always easy to like yourself.  So many people have feelings of inadequacy.  Sometimes it’s hard to really put your finger on it, but generally, like so many other things, it’s a form of learned behavior.  Similar to the Jim Valvano quote from a couple of days ago.  If you’re already there . . . fantastic!  If not, then work on liking yourself.  If that is really hard for you then don’t be afraid to ask for some kind of professional help.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

When you believe in a thing, believe in it all the way, implicitly and unquestionable.”   —   Walt Disney

You may not realize it when it happens, but a kick in the teeth may be the best thing in the world for you.”   —   Walt Disney

(Figuratively speaking that is, folks!  Please, don’t go around kicking people in the teeth, thinking that you’re helping them out.  We’ll just end up with a lot of grumpy, toothless people.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

I love Mickey Mouse more than any woman I have ever known.”   — Walt Disney

(Whoa, Walt!  Really?  I wonder how Lillian felt about his saying this?  My first Walt Disney quote and it has to be an odd one.  If he’d said *person* instead of *woman* I think I’d appreciate it more.  But, *woman*???  I might put Betty Boop, Betty Rubble or Blondie Bumstead up against some real women – not my sweet Ms. Boom, of course – but never a . . . a rodent!)   — YUR
