Visual Description: My frequent complaint with Microsoft!
VRIRE = RIVER, SOYMS = MOSSY, DIDNHE = HIDDEN, NLHECC = CLENCH — Giving us: IEMOSDDNLEC
Clue/Question: When it came to having his positronic brain replaced, the android was – – –
Answer: CLOSE–MINDED
(I get the pun, but I disagree with the assertion! Objecting to unnecessary changes is not being “close-minded”. They’re always coming out with “newer”, and – supposedly – “better” versions of electronics, that make the older ones essentially obsolete, because they no longer want to support the older versions. It’s annoying as Hell. These companies do not adhere to the old saw: If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! Because, similar to planned obsolescence, they want us to continuously be buying their stuff. And, of course they use slick marketing to both entice us – and shame us – into giving up what has been working for us. It’s both a game and a trap. But, none of you care about the truth I try to impart on you. Do you?
No new clue words today. “Mossy” spells out in alphabetical order. And, all the jumbles appear to be new. The answer letter layout is a masterful eleven letter jumble. It gave nothing away.
Great cartoon though! Cool looking robot/android. Artificial Intelligence is getting more sophisticated all the time. We used to snicker at the idea of “The Terminator” coming true, but now the possibility of the machines taking over seems to be inching closer to reality. I do NOT want a robotic companion! No matter how “lifelike” or attractive. Hopefully, I’ll be gone by the time that comes my way. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
