Clue/Question: The question as to why the tree had died – – –
Answer: STUMPED THEM
(The poor sap! He is tru-leaf a sad home owner. He used to have it made in the shade. Now he’ll be pining away for that tree. But no one is happy when their tree leaves them. Maybe he should have majored in fores-tree, or something. I better stop now. Too many tree puns ar-boring!
As you may have guessed, all of today’s clue words are currently on the ralis95 clue word database. Tree . . . I mean three of the jumbles are coming up as new for me. But it appears we have seen “hyyls” in one or more previous Jumbles. I was able to see them all immediately. Yes, folks. None of them stumped me. The answer letter layout was an excellent eleven letter jumble. Nicely cryptic.
Great cartoon of the perplexed homeowner, staring down at the rings on the stump, that used to be his tree. The tree surgeon doesn’t seem to have any answers for him, while his assistant grinds away at the branches. Those grinders certainly make an awful racket, don’t they! But what used to be his tree is now going to be someone’s mulch. I guess that’s kinda part of the cycle of life. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
